This tutorial for All Blackberry 9700 Onyx, 9000 Bold, Curve 8520, 8900. 9550 Storm. How to Setting Blackberry Firewall to Block Unwanted Incoming Messages. The last thing you need when you are a Blackberry user is getting spammed. After all, the reason why you used Blackberry in the first place is to be rid of various spam problems that you used to get from your previous providers. However, sometimes wishes don’t come true. And this premonition, sadly, includes the fact that your Blackberry inbox is still bombarded with spams after all. Don’t sigh and just look up our solution below. You can stop those burdensome dead letters (hey, after all, spams are basically letters to no one, right?)…by an application that you actually already have! Yes, you’ve heard us right. You don’t even need to download anything at all, you don’t have to be worry for a reduction of your Blackberry’s capacity. Hang in there a second.

Realize that your BlackBerry’s firewall is really handy to block SMS, MMS, PIN, and/or BlackBerry Internet Service messages. It will help you to prevent spams and pay for extra charges that you dread so much.

1. Go back to Home Screen on your Device.
2. Press the menu key, see all of your applications.
3. Select Options.
4. Scroll down and select Security Options.
5. Select Firewall. 6. Set the Status to Enabled.
7. Check Block Incoming Messages, and then select the type(s) of messages you wish to block. (the listed options are SMS, MMS, PIN, and BlackBerry Internet Service).
8. Press the menu key and select Save.

Now you are free from all of those troublesome spams. You don’t have to be scared of the bills anymore. At least not for this one. cheers
